Jackie Mazur (Weitzberg), CFP®, MSBA – President
Guide My Finances was founded in 2008, by Jackie Mazur, Certified Financial Planner™, MSBA. A financial veteran with over 10 years of experience, Mazur recognized a need in the industry for unbiased financial advice combined with sound financial education. Whether working with an individual or a corporation, she takes the time to educate her clients and their employees on the components of the strategy and the big picture benefits that keep her clients engaged with their financial vision. A former college professor in San Diego, Mazur stays on top of new products and trends, continuing to offer guidance to new generations of financial advisors. Her licenses include FINRA Series 6,7, 63 as well as Life, Health and Long Term Care Insurance. She also utilizes her vast network of finance related professionals to enhance her instruction and her service to clients.
Stemming from her passion for financial education, Mazur founded Money MindEd in 2011. She created this financial education program designed to educate teenagers and young adults on the basics of financial management, giving our future leaders the information they need to be financially successful adults. In 2011, Jackie was honored by the Mom’s In Business Unite Conference naming Money MindEd one of the best new products/services in San Diego.
Jenny Erdmann, Esq., CDFA – Vice President
After starting her career at the global wealth management firm AXA Advisors, LLC, Jenny joined Guide My Finances in late 2013. Believing the best financial guidance is guidance that is well understood, believable and actionable, Jenny takes a practical approach, advising clients in areas of financial planning including employer provided benefits, asset management, inheritance and gift planning, and risk management. Additionally, she advises her business clients on the alignment of purpose and desired outcome with their selection and implementation of employee benefit plans, business continuation planning, and tax strategies utilizing the business structure as an efficient conduit for integrated planning.
Jenny enjoys an additional perspective shared by few financial advisors as a graduate of California Western School of Law; a lawyer’s paradigm greatly shapes her guidance on financial, tax, and risk management. Jenny is highly involved with the legal community in San Diego and routinely provides MCLE for the San Diego County Bar Association on financial planning aspects of estate planning and family law.
On a personal note, enhancing her community is an important component of her life. Jenny serves her community and industry through a number of charitable organizations. She sits on the San Diego Women’s Foundation Membership Committee, as well as the San Diego Foundation’s Scholarship Committee. In recognition of the tremendous sacrifice made by members of the military community, she is also heavily involved with the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society of San Diego. When not working and giving her time to these charitable causes, Jenny can be found walking along the shores of Coronado or reading the newest science fiction novel.
