Guide My Finances, a Carlsbad-based boutique financial planning firm, is looking for a paraplanner/client service associate with a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.

To support our team and our clients, you will assist with the following functions:

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Scheduling client meetings.
  • Maintain marketing processes including sending initial marketing packages, prospect, and referral process management.
  • Develop and implement regular and consistent client communications via phone, email, and mail.
  • Participate in client meetings to take notes and become familiarized with client needs.
  • Document and implement firm processes and procedures.
  • Open new accounts and support with client account funding.
  • Assist in the data entry, analysis, development, presentation and monitoring of financial plans.
  • Support with creating and monitoring investment plans for clients. These include the firm's strategic and tactical asset allocations, and specific investments, client and prospect portfolios.
  • Help us stay current by attending online conferences and continuing education events.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 & 63 or willingness to attain
  • Certified Financial Planner or CFP® candidate preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

This position is non-exempt, full-time, on-site in Carlsbad, CA, and is paid according to the laws in the state of California.

Annual Compensation Range $50k-75k

Senior Financial Planner
 

Guide My Finances is looking for an experienced Financial Planner who believes in offering complete financial planning and investment advisory services.

At Guide My Finances we take our role as Fiduciary seriously. We operate with integrity, attention to detail and consistency.

We are growing rapidly and would like to add an advisor to the team to work with in-bound
leads while growing their own book of business.

Compensation:

We believe our advisors should have unlimited earning potential. At Guide My Finances, we offer the opportunity to build your own book of business while servicing the firm’s clients for a base salary + percentage of assets you are managing.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Analyze and evaluate client portfolios
  • Meet with prospects to evaluate their needs and make recommendations
  • Conduct ongoing client meetings
  • Prepare and present comprehensive Financial Plans
  • Creating and monitoring investment plans for clients. These include the firm's strategic and tactical asset allocations, and specific investments, client and prospect portfolios.
  • Actively participate in community programs/events to promote client and community awareness of the firm

Qualifications and Skills

  • Motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Minimum of 4 years of financial planning and investment management experience
  • Series 7 and 66, Series 65, or CFP® required
  • Certified Financial Planner or CFP® candidate preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience creating base and recommended plans and presentations in eMoney Advisor
  • Sales experience

This position is exempt, full-time, on-site in Carlsbad, CA, and is paid according to the laws in the state of California.

Annual Compensation Range $75k-150k+
